Someone angrily once told me that ‘a bird may love a fish but where would they live’ in regards to my relationships. At first I wondered how a bird and a fish would even meet. I replied to him ‘that may be the case, but that's the magic of fairy tales', because I was a foolhardy young child who had not been broken by the world yet. And then I wondered why two such creatures so different in nature would even fall in love. What would they talk about, if they are truly so different. The man scoffed and walked away from me. Now I wonder about the birds that swim more than they fly, and the fish that leap into the sky with more ease than plenty of feathered folk. Now I wonder if I would scold young lovers as he did.

But the magic of fairy tales is that this can happen, Once Upon A Time.....
